Thank you for your interest in distributing our OncoPet cancer test for dogs.

The test is based on a cancer marker called RECAF™ which is produced by all types of cancer. RECAF™ is elevated in the serum of human patients with cancer. The results found in dogs with cancer are consistent with those found in humans. The scientific background, as well as our preliminary results, suggest that the test could also be adapted for testing cats. At present, the test is only available for dogs. As our distributor, you would purchase Sample Collection Kits which you would then sell to veterinarians.

The veterinarian draws blood from the dog, extracts the serum using the provided Serum Separator Tube and places the sample in the Shipping Tube which contains the stabilizer that allows the sample to hold for 2 weeks without refrigeration.

The tube with the sample is then placed inside the provided cushioned envelope with OncoPet's address on it and sent it to our facilities, along with the order form, which can be filled up on paper or online (the latter allows the veterinarian to input the clinic's information only once; future orders use the information stored in our database).

The sample is then sent to us for testing by regular mail at very low cost since there is no need for ice packs or dry ice.

Upon arrival to our facility, the sample is tested and the results are emailed directly to the veterinarian who ordered the test within 3-4 working days. The turnaround time is comparable to that of a biopsy.

If your company operates outside Canada and the USA, we also offer RECAF™ test kits and training to carry out the assay at a laboratory of your choice in your own country.
